Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Receipt Wizard app and website ("Receipt Wizard", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Receipt Wizard.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Your content

Receipts, images, files, details and reports you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and send them only as needed to run the app for you, for example to sync your records, read receipts when you turn that on, and email reports to you. Only add content you have the right to use.

AI receipt reading

Receipt reading is optional. When it is on, receipt images and their contents are sent to an AI service to extract details. AI can make mistakes, so check the merchant, date, amount and other details against your original receipts before you rely on them or submit a report.

Not financial, tax or legal advice

Receipt Wizard helps you organize receipts and build reports. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not guarantee that a report meets the rules of your employer, client or tax authority. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for keeping any original records you are required to keep.

Free version and subscription

The app is free and shows banner ads. An optional subscription removes ads. It is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, renews automatically at the price shown in the app until you cancel, and can be managed or cancelled in your store account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Receipt Wizard. That includes trying to access other people's accounts or data, interfering with or overloading the service, reverse engineering it except where the law allows, using it to break the law, or uploading malware or content you have no right to share.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Receipt Wizard running and your data safe, but the service may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. We recommend keeping your own copies of important records. We may update these terms; when we make significant changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Receipt Wizard and delete your account at any time from the Account tab. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

Receipt Wizard is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that are not stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or reimbursements, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Third-party services

Receipt Wizard relies on services such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
