This policy explains what Receipt Wizard ("the app", "we") collects and how it is used. Contact: receipt-wizard@wizard-apps.online.
What we collect
Account information: your name and email address, used to sign you in and to send your reports.
Your content: receipt images and files you add, details extracted or entered (merchant, date, amount, category, notes), and your expense reports.
Usage and diagnostics: basic app usage and crash or reliability information to improve the app.
Advertising data: the free version shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers and approximate location to show ads. Subscribers to the ad-free option do not see ads.
Purchase information: subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive purchase status, not your payment details.
Device permissions
The camera is used only to scan receipts. Photo access is used only for images you choose to add. Files are accessed only when you import one.
How we use it
To provide your private receipt archive, build and email your reports, read receipts when you allow it, run the subscription, show ads in the free version, and keep the app reliable. We do not sell your personal information, and your receipts are not used for advertising or shared with other users.
AI receipt reading (optional)
If you allow it, receipt images and their contents are sent to an AI service through Newly AI to extract receipt fields. Turn this off in the Account tab to stop new requests; you can still enter details manually. AI can make mistakes, so please check details against your originals.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the app: Newly (hosting, sign-in, storage and AI processing), an email delivery service to send your reports, RevenueCat (subscriptions), and Google AdMob (ads). They process data only to provide their services. Data is sent over HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Receipts and reports stay until you remove them or delete your account. You can delete your account in the Account tab, which removes your records and uploaded originals. Copies of report emails already sent remain in your mailbox. You may also request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing us.
Your choices
You can turn off receipt reading, deny camera or photo permissions in your device settings, limit ad personalization in your device's privacy settings, cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account, and delete your account at any time.
Children
Receipt Wizard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
